AUTOMATIC MOTORCYCLES 2018 UPDATE

You can only get the 2018 CTX700 with an automatic transmission. Last year, Honda decided to drop the manual clutch / transmission version of the CTX700 and they have decided to continue with the same setup for 2018 on the CTX700 too.

I will update this page once Honda has officially let us know about this rather important detail. It always confused a lot of people as they thought that’s how the CTX700 came from the factory and not the stripped down version we’ve come to know as the production version since 2014 like I mentioned above.

What leads me to believe this Deluxe model will come standard with the tall windshield, saddlebags, passenger backrest and cargo rack is the fact that in the stock photo Honda has released of the 2018 CTX700 it does not say “accessorized model shown” like they have done every year since the model was introduced. Honda has mentioned a 2018 CTX700 Deluxe model but they have not made it clear yet whether or not this Deluxe model will offer some of the Honda Genuine Accessories as ‘standard’ equipment over a standard model like what we have seen in production since 2014. The CTX700 hasn’t been on a hiatus for the last year like its brother, the CTX700N has so it’s probably no surprise that this version of the CTX700 with the fairing etc makes a return due to it being slightly more popular when comparing sales numbers.
